If you ask me, fall doesn’t officially start until there is a pretty pumpkin dressing your front stoop. And a pumpkin from the grocery store won’t do – you need the memories and excitement of picking that gem from a great pumpkin patch Georgia residents love.

Sometimes you need just the right type of patch for your family. Is that an intimate u-pick in North Georgia on a weekend? Or an adventure-packed occasion with pumpkins, rides, games and more located near the city? Georgia has them all!

Here are some of the best pumpkin patches in Georgia that you're going to want to check out this fall.

Uncle Shuck's Pumpkin Patch

125 Bannister Road | Dawsonville | 770-772-6223

Uncle Shuck’s is best known for their corn maze, but they also have pumpkin picking options, a jumping pillow, tire mountain, kids maze, and gem mining. Pick out your pumpkin, take a wagon ride, and then try your luck with the corn cannon.

If you're looking for lots of fall fun on the farm, and a pumpkin too, Uncle Shuck's is a great choice.

Mitcham Farm

797 W Macedonia Church Rd | Oxford | 770-855-1530

Pick your own pumpkin at Mitcham Farmin Oxford, and then stay to participate in the activities on the farm.Take a hayride to their pumpkin patch and pick the pumpkin that is just right for you.

Afterwards, take a pony ride, ride a mechanical bull, or take a helicopter ride. There's also a corn maze, hayrides and plenty more.

A visit to the pumpkin patch is free, but you’ll need a ticket for their other fall fun activities.

Washington Farms

Pick out your pumpkin from the patch at Washington Farms, and then stay to enjoy all the fun, fall activities they offer.

Activities at Washington Farms include a cow train ride, pig races, hayride, wagon rides, corn cannon, tunnel slide, playscape, petting farm, low ropes course, PVC slide, corn box and sand box, duck races, tricycle track, corn maze, zip line, vortex tunnel and a jumping pillow.

There's a lot to do here and different times for different things, so check out the website for all the activities and times before heading out.

They have a wide variety of pumpkins available, including orange and white carving pumpkins, mini pumpkins, pie pumpkins gourdes and more! A visit to the pumpkin patch is free — you just pay for the pumpkins you pick. If you stay for the activities, you’ll need tickets. The price includes unlimited time at all of the activities except the Corn Cannon, where you can pay $1 for three shots.

They also have a sunflower field where you can pick your own sunflowers, which are my favorite!

Jaemor Farms

Looking for that perfect Georgia pumpkin?Jaemor Farms probably has it. Starting in October, they open their pumpkin patch extravaganza so you and your family can find the perfect pumpkin.

A visit to their pumpkin patch is included in the price of one of their wristbands. The $15 All-Access pass includes their corn maze, farm games, hayrides and access to our pumpkin patch. The $20 All-Access + Flowers includes everything from the All-Access Pass, plus a souvenir cup that you can fill full of wildflowers.

Their U-pick pumpkin patch is open daily during their October corn maze hours.

Poppell Farms

At Poppell Farms, you can take a hayride out to the pumpkin patch to find that perfect pumpkin before participating in one of the 25+ farm activities.

Visit the petting zoo, get lost in their 10-acre corn maze, do some catch-and-release fishing, try your hand at pumpkin bowling, let the kids get their energy out on the jumping pillow or playground, take a ride on the cow train, or ride a pony.

There’s so much to see and do here, you may be too exhausted to carve your jack-o-lantern when you get home!

Berry Patch Farms

Take a hayride out to the pumpkin patch, get some apple cider, homemade pie and other fall treats at Berry Patch Farmsin Woodstock.There is a playground and baby farm animals, too.

Take note of the $5 parking fee on the weekends.

Southern Belle Farms

Southern Belle is a 200-acre working farm just outside Atlanta with 2 acres of pumpkins, 4 acres of corn maze, and more than 20 outdoor attractions!

From pumpkin painting for the kids to decorative pumpkins for the house, they’ve got them all. They also have a wide selection of pumpkins for carving, so your family can take some fun back home with you.

After picking your pumpkin, stay for the fall festival activities. Admission includes the Ballzone, Belle’s Bubble Farm, Belle’s Barnstormer, Corn Maze, Cow Train ride, Corn Cannon – 3 shots, Jumping Pillow, Hay Rides, Racing Pedal Carts, Giant Tunnel Slide, Kids’ Play Area, Rubber Duck Races, meeting the Barnyard Animals, Seesaws, Spookley the Square Pumpkin and Pig Races.

Kinsey Family Farm

Kinsey Family Farmis known as one of Georgia's best Christmas tree farms, but in the fall, they also offertraditional pumpkins, as well as several decorative varieties.

In addition to your typical orange pumpkins, they also provide decorative red, white, and even green pumpkins. They also carry pie pumpkins. The farm hosts pumpkins ranging in size from the one-pound “Jack-Be-Little,” to the one-hundred-pound “Prize Winner,” and everything in between.

There is a concession stand with drinks and snacks, and a picnic area if you’d like to bring a picnic. Feed the animals while you're there!

Pettit Creek Farms

Farm admission to Pettit Creek Farms includes corn maze, hay ride, petting zoo and moonwalks and more. Pony and camel rides, as well as the Euro-Bungy are available on weekends for an additional fee. Don’t miss the Pumpkin Festival on opening day. Wheelchair accessible!

Burt's Farm

If you're looking for all different sizes and varieties of pumpkins - then look no further than Burt’s Farmin Dawsonville. They truly have everything from teeny tiny pumpkins to huge pumpkins you can't even lift! Find pumpkins, sunflowers, and hayrides, plus a farm store at Burt's Farm.

This is one of Georgia’s most beloved pumpkin patches, and it's just down the street from Amicalola Falls State Park, so you can make a whole weekend out of it. Make sure to grab some apple cider from the farm store on your way out!

The Red Apple Barn

Pick your own pumpkin out of the field or pick one out of the pile of pumpkins at The Red Apple Barn. There are small, mid-size and big pumpkins planted, including 20 varieties of novelty pumpkins, plus traditional jack-o-lantern pumpkins.

Pumpkins are located at the Apple Barn and in the field at the u-pick shed.

While you're there, you can play cornhole, horseshoes, tractor tire swings, play in the playground and field, have a picnic and take a walk by the creek.

Scottsdale Farms

Typically, Scottsdale Farms fall season is all about pumpkins! On weekends, they offer hayrides, a petting zoo and other child-friendly educational events.

Whether you need a small pumpkin that weighs less than a pound, or a giant pumpkin that weighs in at a whopping 150 pounds, they’ve got the perfect pumpkin for you. You'll find all shapes, sizes and colors of pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks, hay bales and decorations

Big Springs Farms

Take a hayride to the patch and then pick out a pumpkin in the big barn at Big Springs. There are farm animals, a bounce house, face painting and more.

There's no admission fee, and parking is free.

Warbington Farms

Fall is when you'll find a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and fun park at Warbington Farms in Cumming.

Pumpkins are priced as marked, but at Warbington Farms you can also enjoy the fun park and corn maze for one admission price. The Fun Park includes a “hey” ride, petting zoo, giant inflatables, tire yard, corn crib, roller slides, swings and more.

Dickey Farms

Dickey Farms located in Musella, about 30 minutes from Macon in central Georgia, is known for their amazing peaches. But in the fall, they go all out with pumpkins and offer tons of fun fall activities!

On Saturdays and Sundays in October, head to Dickey Farms to pick your perfect pumpkin, then stay for the corn maze, corn bin, corn cannon, jump pad, barrel train, hay ride, gemstone mining, duck races, and more.

Make sure to visit the farm market for delicious goodies like ice cream, freshly baked donuts and bread, slushies, pumpkins, apples, vegetables, and a great selection of delicious jar products!

Randy's Pumpkin Patch

More than just pumpkins, Randy's Pumpkin Patch is a field full of fun. Pick out your pumpkin, and then stick around for all the awesome activities.

Buy 25 tickets for $20 and participate in the fall fun. You’ll find a bungee jump, inflatable haunted house, inflatable kiddie jump, inflatable corn maze, a train ride, inflatable giant slide, a bunny petting zoo, and face painting. Most activities are three tickets. Pony rides are also offered on weekends for $5.

Admission is $5 for ages 16 and up. 15 and under are FREE with a paid adult.

Yule Forest Pumpkin Patch

Come out to Yule Forest’s Pumpkin Patch this fall season to experience a farm full of family fun! Located in Stockbridge, Georgia, it’s just a short country drive south of Atlanta.

Yule Forest is home to one of the largest pumpkin patches in Georgia, and here you can choose from pre-cut pumpkins or you can cut your very own fresh off the vine. They provide pumpkin carts and stem cutters to their guests.

They also offer fall activities like a hayride, a hay maze, a fun zone, a science center, the bee house, the pumpkin movie, puppet shows, a dinosaur exhibit, a S.T.E.M. garden, and more.

Please note that tickets must be purchased online before you visit. No tickets are sold at the gate.
